Your first week with LuxeGlamour POS
A complete, screen-by-screen walkthrough of the platform — from your first sign-in to your first checkout. Every screen below is the real product.
Sign in to your salon
Every team member — owner, manager, or stylist — signs in with a username and password at your dashboard address. On a shared front-desk device, staff can also punch in with a quick 4-digit PIN instead.
- 1Go to your dashboard URL and enter your username
- 2Enter your password (or tap "Forgot password?" to reset it)
- 3Select Sign in — you'll land on your Dashboard
Your Dashboard — the morning glance
The moment you sign in, you see exactly what matters: today's revenue, today's appointments, new clients, and average ticket — plus who's on the schedule and who's on duty.
- 1Four live tiles: revenue, appointments, new clients, avg ticket
- 2"Today's Appointments" — a live feed of who's coming in
- 3"Staff On Duty" — who's clocked in right now
- 4The left sidebar is your map to every part of the platform
Build your service menu
Before you can book or sell anything, tell LuxeGlamour what you offer. Every service gets a name, category, duration, and price — the same menu powers your calendar, your checkout, and your public booking page.
- 1Open Services in the sidebar
- 2Select Add Service
- 3Name it, set a category (Hair, Nails, Skin & Facial…), duration, and price
- 4Save — it instantly appears in Calendar, Quick Sale, and your booking page
Add your team
Add each stylist, colorist, or front-desk teammate with their own role, pay structure, and permissions — so everyone sees exactly what they need and nothing more.
- 1Open Staff → Add Staff
- 2Set their role (owner, manager, stylist, esthetician…)
- 3Choose a pay structure — commission, tiered, hourly, or booth rental
- 4Set their POS PIN and calendar/client permissions
Set up getting paid
Card payments run through Stripe, and this is the one step to do before your first checkout. It takes about ten minutes, and until it's finished the card button stays switched off.
- 1Create a free account at stripe.com, then open Developers → API keys there
- 2In LuxeGlamour, go to Settings → Payments → Add keys
- 3Paste your secret key (sk_…) and publishable key (pk_…), then Save Keys
- 4Select Connect Stripe account and complete Stripe's form — business details and the bank account you want payouts sent to
- 5When Stripe returns you here, select Refresh status

Book your first appointment
Appointments can come from your calendar directly, or arrive on their own from your public booking page. Either way, they land in the same place.
- 1Open Calendar and select + Add
- 2Search or add the client
- 3Choose the service — duration and price fill in automatically
- 4Pick the staff member, date, and time
- 5Toggle Require deposit for card-on-file bookings, then Save Appointment
Protect your chair from no-shows
An empty chair is the most expensive thing in a salon. You can ask for a deposit when a client books, charge a fee when someone doesn't turn up, and publish the policy so nobody is surprised.
- 1Go to Settings → Deposits & Fees
- 2Turn on Require deposit and choose Flat $ or % of the service price
- 3Turn on No-show fee and set its amount the same way
- 4Edit the Cancellation policy text — or leave it blank to use our standard wording
- 5Mark an absent client No-show on the calendar to charge the fee

Let the reminders do the chasing
Confirmations and reminders go out on their own by text and email, so nobody on your team spends the morning making phone calls. Set the schedule once and leave it alone.
- 1Go to Settings → Reminders
- 2Switch on Enable automated reminders
- 3Choose your channels — text message, email, or both
- 4Leave the booking confirmation on so clients get a note as soon as they book
- 5Pick when reminders send — tap as many as you like from 3 days down to 1 hour before
Check out with Quick Sale
Whether a client walks in or arrives for a booked appointment, checkout is the same three taps: build the ticket, add a tip, take payment.
- 1Open Quick Sale, search the client (optional for walk-ins)
- 2Tap services and retail products to add them to the ticket
- 3Apply a promo code, gift card, or discount if needed
- 4Choose Charge — pick a tip, then a payment method
- 5Card, cash, gift card, or store credit — even split across two
- 6Print or email the receipt, or send a review request in one tap
A graceful close
Once payment clears, the receipt screen offers a print, an emailed copy, and a one-tap review request — timed for the moment a client is happiest.
- 1Payment confirms instantly with the total and method
- 2Request a Review sends a Google/Yelp link straight to the client
- 3Print Receipt or Email Receipt — client's choice
- 4New Sale resets the ticket for the next client
Get to know your clients
Every visit, every dollar, and every note lives on the client's profile — visible the moment you search their name at the front desk.
- 1Open Clients to see everyone, or search by name, email, or phone
- 2Filter by VIP, New, Lapsed, No-show Risk, or Membership
- 3Open a profile for visit history, lifetime spend, and private notes
- 4Select New Client to add someone by hand

- 1Open Inventory → Add Product
- 2Set SKU, category, brand, cost, and retail price
- 3Set a low-stock threshold — you'll get an alert automatically
- 4Sell it directly from Quick Sale alongside services

- 2Name it, set the price, cycle, and which services it covers
- 3Set session allowances (e.g. 4 blowouts per month)

Run payroll without a spreadsheet
Every sale already knows who performed it and how that person is paid, so payday is a report you read rather than a night of arithmetic. The Payroll report is included on Professional and Enterprise — on Individual, which covers a single staff member, it isn't shown.
- 1Set each person's pay structure once on their profile — commission, tiered commission, hourly, or booth rent
- 2Staff clock in and out from their own screen; breaks are tracked
- 3Open Reports → Payroll and choose the pay period
- 4Read All Staff — Pay Summary: hours, service revenue, commission due, and tips
- 5Cross-check any one person in the Commissions report
Read your reports
Revenue, tax, appointments, and retail — sliced by day, week, month, or a custom range, and ready to print for your accountant.
- 1Open Reports and choose Sales, Sales Tax, Appointment, or Retail
- 2Pick a range — Today, This Week, This Month, Last 90d, or Custom
- 3Review the daily breakdown of transactions, revenue, and tax
- 4Select Print to export a clean PDF
Give your team their own screen
Your stylists don't need the whole system — they need today. The staff portal shows each person their own day, their own numbers, and nothing that isn't theirs.
- 1Each team member signs in with their own login (or a 4-digit PIN on a shared device)
- 2They land on My Schedule — today's appointments, in order
- 3Today and Upcoming switch between the day and the week ahead
- 4Earned shows what they've made so far, tips included
- 5They clock in and out here, so hours flow straight into payroll

- 1Open Settings → copy your Online Booking Link
- 2Upload a cover photo, business photos, and your story
- 3Share the link on Instagram, Google, your email signature — anywhere
- 4Clients select Book next to a service and pick an open time
